Potter is a building found in Pharaoh.
Background[]
Potters use clay provided by Clay Pits or through imports to produce pottery, the most basic non-food good in the game. They operate best when placed close to clay pits or storage yards containing clay.
Assuming that a potter is fully staffed and supplied, it produces an average of 565 units a year (or 47 per month). Each fully staffed clay pit can support around 1.35 potters. Potters do not benefit from Ptah's Temple Complex.
Pottery is a fairly mediocre finished good to export. Its price of 105 debens per 100 units is not exceptional for a finished good (clay, in turn, costs 25 debens to import per 100 units). It is a good option to export if clay is locally available and more profitable options for money aren't available.
Like all industrial buildings, potters have a negative impact on desirability. They are prone to catching fire.
